It all started one day when my employer said, “I’m closing the store. I start my new job in two days. You think you can run things here until we close?” (what? huh?)
Closing the store? Will I have no job? Where will I get employment where I can pretty much be my own boss, be completely overworked, and take my dog with me? (dang…)
Well, after running the old place for the six months it took to close, and after looking at my options in the framing industry, I thought “a store isn’t such a hard thing to run, and since so many frame shops and art supply stores are closing, and the economy is still in the crapper…I think I’ll open my own shop!” (so much talent, so little brain)
So- with little cash, 20 years framing experience, a desire to hang out with cool, creative type people and help provide them with the tools of their trade, along with a willingness to fly headlong into uncertainty... ArtSpoken custom framing & artist supply came into existence.(cool beans!)
We don’t have everything, but we have many things, and are continually adding to our inventory, many times at the request of our customers (you).
With a small amount of prior notice, many things can be special ordered. Feel free to email us at artspokenA2@sbcglobal.net to ask about product availability, special order something, say hello, or get on our mailing list to learn about new additions or in-store specials.
If you ask about framing, you will get more information than you ever thought you would need or want. I am a firm believer in knowing what you are getting for your dollars. An informed consumer is a happy and confident consumer. (yay!)
